Arena & Field Hire

Arena & Field Questions

Questions specific to booking and using the indoor arena and grass field.

How do I book the arena or grass field?
Both the indoor arena and grass field are bookable through our online system at hallbookingonline.com/bearse. You can check availability and pay online. If you'd prefer to book by phone, call us on 07881 628748.
What are the arena opening hours?
The indoor sand arena is available to hire from 7:00am to 10:00pm, 7 days a week. Please note there is a weekly 2-hour maintenance closure for sand-raking and arena maintenance — this is indicated on the booking system and cannot be hired during that period.
When is the grass field available?
The grass field is available for hire from April to September, subject to weather conditions. It is only available during daylight hours as there is no outside lighting. Field hire may occasionally be suspended during very wet periods to protect the ground — we'll contact you in advance if this affects your booking.
What is included in the hire price?
The arena hire includes exclusive use of the indoor sand arena, access to the on-site kitchen and WC facilities. The grass field hire includes exclusive use of the fenced 40m × 50m field. Equipment (jumps, agility courses, cones etc.) is not provided — please bring your own. Set-up and clear-down time should be factored into your booking slot.
Can I run a training class or competition session?
Yes — the arena and field are well suited to dog training, agility classes and small competitions. If you're planning a larger event or bringing a group, please contact us in advance so we can ensure everything is suitable for your needs.
What is the cancellation policy for arena and field hire?

There is a weekly 2-hour maintenance closure for arena maintenance (sand-raking and upkeep). This slot is blocked in the booking system and is unavailable for hire. Occasional additional closures may be necessary at short notice for essential maintenance — in such cases we will endeavour to notify you in advance and offer an alternative slot.

5

Field Hire — Seasonal Availability

The grass field is available from April to September only, subject to ground and weather conditions. Bearse Farm reserves the right to suspend field hire during or after periods of heavy rain to protect the field surface and surrounding land. Hirers will be notified in advance wherever possible and offered an alternative date or refund.

6

Annual Pricing Review

Hire prices are reviewed annually. Any price changes will be applied to bookings made after the review date and do not affect existing confirmed bookings. Updated prices are always displayed in the booking system.

7

Conduct & Safety

All hirers are responsible for the behaviour and safety of themselves, their group and any animals they bring onto the site. Hirers must comply with any instructions given by Bearse Farm staff. Bearse Farm reserves the right to terminate a session without refund in cases of misconduct, unsafe use of the facilities, or breach of these terms.

8

Liability

Use of all facilities is at the hirer's own risk. Bearse Farm accepts no liability for injury, loss or damage arising from use of the arena or field, except where caused by our own negligence. Hirers are strongly advised to ensure they hold appropriate personal accident and public liability insurance for any commercial or group activities.
